Hello, I am a new climber to the hills of Scotland. I live in central Scotland. I am only fair weather climbing at the moment obviously being a beginner. I have climbed, Ben Vorlich (the one beside Callendar, Ben Ledi, and Ben Wyvis (that was fun......), I am thinking about camping in the summertime in the Highlands for a few days. The mountains up in the Ullapool area and was wondering about drinking water. Is it safe to drink from a stream (fast flowing etc etc), or get water and boil it for five mins, chlorine tablets. I was just wondering what everyone else does. I plan on having a wee base camp for about three days, climb a couple of mountains each day and relaxing in the evening, taking in the scenery and wildlife, but I plan on being far enough in so if I took a few litres it obviously wouldnt be enough. Your thoughts please Walkhigh lands chaps. Please help. I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
